Who is this masterclass for
This masterclass covers a wide range of pattern topics, so there’s something for everyone.
- If you are new to pattern design: Following these modules step by step will gently introduce you to this fascinating discipline.
- If you have worked with patterns before: Pick and choose from the modules to deepen your mindset, understanding, and vocabulary. Or go practical with how to make source material from scratch.
- If you are keen to learn a new design tool: In this masterclass we use Repper, a simple-yet-powerful design tool we developed over a decade. Learn how it works and how to make production-ready designs with it.
How to go about the masterclass
The modules build on one another and they work great in order. A few modules are more stand-alone and can be skipped or done later: M1 (history) and M[x] (application areas). Of course, if you are already well-versed in pattern design, feel free to pick and choose.
Using Repper vs. another design tool
Most of this masterclass applies to pattern design in any software (or even paper). That said, I recommend using Repper, since many videos and exercises here feature it. Its simplicity lets you focus on design instead of complex tools. For more info, check out M2.2: The ideal tool to learn.
You can try it free for two weeks (no strings attached), and use code MASTERCLASS for 20% off.
